The visit coincides with Hezbollah's announcement that it attacked the Israeli army's northern headquarters with a drone on Tuesday in response for attacks in Lebanon on Monday that claimed the lives of senior Hamas and Hezbollah officials.
The Israeli military said that one of its army bases in the country's north had been hit, although it claimed there were no casualties or property damages. The location of the base was not mentioned.
Three persons were murdered in a car after an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon early on Tuesday, according to local security authorities and the official newsagency.
Israeli Soldier Shot A Palestinian Man
